My installation had their pc's stolen. New pc's have Windows 8.
Installed SQL2005 and my app - server (used as one workstation) had problems (sorted out
by deleting triggers). Second (separate) workstation connects over wireless (same room)
to the database - reads and displays/prints data ok.
When posting amounts (and calculating Sales Tax) the correct amounts show -
only to be replaced almost immediately by totally inflated figures and an error message
"Type mismatch."
I have set Compatibility to Windows 7 - all settings are the same on both Server and Workstation
I cannot think of anything else that I can do, except to have SQL2012 Express installed and update
the database (works on my laptop). But I don't want to go that whole route only to find I still have
the same problem :( 'cos it's some other little setting!!
