I have a drop down list populated from a sql query, to which I need to find a way to select all from that list, then pass that parameter to a query. So, the drop down list give a list, and I add the word 'All' to that list, and that works OK. The problem
is with the sql query. How to I tell the query to use the 'All' entry as a select * statement rather than take the 'All' entry as a literal in the query so the query does not read "select all from whatever table", but rather read "select * from whatever table"?
Currently the select query looks like this in gridview:
"SELECT * FROM [SamplesView] WHERE (([U_COLLECTDT] > ?) AND ([U_COLLECTDT] < ?) AND ([U_MILK_PRODUCT] LIKE '%' + ? + '%') AND ([sourcedesc] = ?)) and paramid not in ('units', 'date of analysis', 'analyst', 'units', 'temperature') AND ([ENTEREDTEXT]
IS NOT NULL) ORDER BY [U_COLLECTDT]"
