Change Password Error Issues... ways to get more info out of the control?

 

Hello,

I'm testing the ad membership provider with the standard asp.net contorls, I can log in and authenticate fine,

but i cannot change the password, and all i get is the generic error message that you set on the control.

I know that i've changed passwords at least once, on a differnt account. the Control it totally stock,

it's just dropped on the page and a on error event added. (Although the provider setting have changed somewhat, I turned off password reset and the question and answer stuff)

 

How can I get more specific information abotu why the password is failing to be changed?

 

Can anyone point me to more information about the process?

 

I've tried sufficiently complex passwords, so i'm kind of stumped.
