Hello everyone, I have a hosting account which allows me to upload database (MS SQL 2012) to their server (shared server). I have column called password and I would like to encrypt that column. I have read some articles suggesting creating master key for
the symmetric key encryption. I wonder if I create symmetric key on my local database and upload the database to the hosting server, will I be able to decrypt the column using the same key?
