I'm am having some issues with saving a dataset to Excel. I think I have discovered what the issue is, but I am unable to fix it. Sometimes the Excel file will open fine other times it won't. If I open the Excel file in notepad I can see all the correct
XML is in place. However, I would expect the data to finish at these tags (</Worksheet></Workbook>), but under these tags is the whole HTML markup for the ASPX page. I don't know why I am getting this HTML markup as part of the Excel file?
I think it might have something to do with either using an UpdatePanel or a MasterPage
Here is my HTML: ImgExcelExport is an image button that is calling my code. This control is also placed in a PostBackTrigger because of the UpdatePanel
