how to close the current web form and return to another form

I have a gridview control in a web form.
When user selects an item in grid view, it opens up another form2 with parameters passed to this new form2, once the user is done working on this form2,
user clicks submit button, this should redirect the user to the grid view in the first form1 to work upon the next item.
How to close the form2 on hit of submit button and open form1.
Please guide.
