I have field from a database which I succesfully extrac using entity-linq. The format of the field is a DateTime.....
I need to reformat the field such that I could only extract the time portion. For example the value is 2013-06-26 8:30:08 AM as expected but I need only the time portion such as 8:30:08. I try creating a select projected anonymous type . If I apply SqlFunction.Datepart
or use .hour .minute .second from the DateTime value, I get separates columns values instead of all in one columns which I try using TimeSpam method. Finally I got it to work at the design time by adding to the GridViiew (control to bind query). Manipulating
the GridView at run time will be more appropriate but I haven't found how to instantiate the columns reference programmatically. I added to the control GridView
<asp:BoundField DataField="WebServer_TimeStamp" HeaderText="WebServer"
