OnTextChanged event eats the OnClick event while clicking button

Let me explain my scenario for my application first,
I have a Textbox and button in a same page, and the textbox have AutoPostback="True" and  OnTextChanged event which is used to get some data from database. So I should use that event for textbox, and the button have OnClick event to clear all fields from the same page( I can do this in javascript to clear fields. But i should do that here for scenario.).
And also i do not remove the Autopostback for the textbox too.
Now, If user enter something in textbox and trying to clear that he goes to clear button, so firstly, the OnTextChanged Event is firing but after that the button click event not firing. B if i enter some text and press TAB key, then theOnTextChanged event fired and then I click button the button click event is foring . But i need to solve the issue while clicking the clear button after entring text in textbox....How?
