I am new to SSIS. I have created a package to export records from excel file to sql server table. Earlier the requirement was to replace the whole data in sql table which was quit easy just by truncating the table and then transfering the data through SSIS
package. Now the requirement is such that there is a column in excel sheet which has unique value, Now while transfer i need to check if for that column value, is there a record exists in sql table, If it is then i need to update the existing record. If the
record not exists then simply insert the new row. I have search online and find that prefered option is to use Lookup Transformation.
Is there any step by step process for implementing this, since i am still a beginner in SSIS.
