adding WCAG required onblur & onfocus events to old menu control

Hi Everyone,
I am attempting to pass WCAG 2.0A certification which requires menus to handle onblur and onfocus.  My aspMenu control is bound to a web.sitemap and it runs under asp.net 3.5 and those two facts can not change, unfortunately.  To make matters worse, I can't use the menu control's RenderingMode="List" attribute either.  When I compile and view source I need to be seeing onblur and onfocus in each <td> of the menu.
How in the world am I going to do that?  Does anyone have any ideas?  Please help.
