I'm working on an ASP .Net application using VS 2010 and VB. I have a ListView, I created a footer for the ListView and have a label in the footer that displays the total for one column. I have code that steps through each row of the ListView and sums
the value in each row. When the page first opens everything runs correctly and the total for the column appears in the label as expected. If I click the Edit button on the ListView the code to sum the column starts to run. Whe it gets to a certain variable
the program crashes with a NullReferenceException error. However if after opening the page, I move to another page and then return the code will step through updating the totals label one time. Any suggestion on how to resolve the error is appreciated.
