I have code I downloaded from the Microsoft Azure library.  I put it in a class.  It has one routine that converts a video into a different format, which takes time.  So it has "console.write" statements that tell you the progress at intervals.
Instead of writing to the console, I would prefer that it send a message to the open web-form (that the user is looking at), so that the form would update its label.  So for instance, it might have a sequence of statements like
"video has been uploaded"
"encoding started"
"encoding 30% complete"
"encoding finished"
At the moment I made my class static, but I could make it an 'instance' class, that is manipulated by the webform.  If I do that, is there any way to receive asynchronous event notifications without interrupting the process in the class?
Thanks
