Unable to attach MDF file successfully

I get the following error message when trying to attach an MDF file that contains a list of names and adresses. I cants eem to find a way around it. It will attach froma cd but then marks the database as suspect and i cant get any more out of it. All I want to do is recovery the data to an Excel spread sheet. An help greatly appreciated.
