I am displaying some text from my child page in a master page span using a property in the masterpage.
public string DetailTitle { get; set; }
<span class="DetailTitle"><%= DetailTitle %></span>
Right now I set the values in the OnInit event of the child page
protected void Page_Init( object sender, EventArgs e ) {
Master.DetailTitle = "The Detail Title";
}
I could change the spans to asp:Labels and set them once in OnLoad !isPostBack and let ViewState keep them set.
I think I am making a trade-off between ...
