how to get dropdownlist's selected value from enum to assign an object ?

Thanks for your attention and time.
I have bind a drop down list to an enum.
I want to assign selected value of drop down to an object but they object's type is enum, mean it can only accept a value from enum values.


Kindly guide me how to do this.
