I am really just getting started in ASP.NET MVC5.  I am an experienced programmer (although from a different background) and I have worked with MVC 1 and 2.
So I went through the tutorial on MVC5 that is on this site and I am pretty impressed.  I thought it was awesome that essentially MVC could create all of the CRUD operations with views and controllers for me just by me creating a model class.
But my question is: How useful is this in the real world?  The tutorial author had a simple example (Movie database).  But in the real world, we are maintaining multiple tables/models all within the same view.  Or we have multiple views that are used to maintain the same table.  So I guess I'm really trying to figure out how realistic this example is and is everyone else setting things up like the tutorial or are you actually customizing more?
