I've got a rather unusual problem, so bear with me and I'll try to explain.
I'm trying to create dynamic HTML through my .NET C# application that will embed a .NET checkbox control. I generate the following HTML for example:
<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD><asp:CheckBox runat=\"server\" /></TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>
Note where I have the \", so that it will translate (at least I'm trying to translate) so that it will interpreted as runat="server" at runtime. Trouble is, it does not work at all, the compiler does not recognize it. What's really puzzling is that if
I use the HTML checkbox rather than the .NET control, i.e. "<INPUT Type=\"checkbox\" >", it translates just fine. Just does not seem to work with a .NET control.
Any ideas on how I may be able to remedy this?
