I have a website where different people can sign up as owners of videos.  At the moment they cannot upload their videos to my server, they have to find their own storage.  But they can use an embedded player on my site to show their videos.
I use membership to protect my site, so  I know how membership works - you have different folders which contain files, and also each has a web.config file saying who can access the folder.
But I'm wondering - if I did purchase a much more spacious dedicated server, and if I allowed people to store their video files on it, how would I protect those files?  If I knew I only had 3 owners, then I could make 3 folders, put a web.config in each, and use the membership permissions to restrict access of the owner (and of people he trusts) to his videos in his folder.  But suppose I have an unknown number of owners, maybe as many as 500.  What would I do then?
This is not a very specific code ...
