can be used from windows forms interop or aspnet without having office installed on the server
eg with excel interop I export it to excel, so I have the code in an assembly registered in sqlserver, but to work it would have to have office installed on the server to generate the excel from sqlserver and then send it to my clients ...
when you install the excel has a component: "Programming Net" could not reference that
