Gridview LOad

i have one gridview . in that gridview have different fields such as code,description , months(jan,feb,mar..........).The two fields such as code and description will load when page will be loaded . the other fields such as months will load when i click the button outside the gridview.
so i have to load the months field when i click the button outside the gridview . can anyone help me please....................
