Is there any simple step-by-step example on how to make your own ProfileProvider with your own tables and database? And what is needed to have user and roles on the site? I have implemented my own RoleProvider and I actually think it works, but the profile info is still saved in some lously aspnet-database in the App_data folder on my application. I want to store it in a table on my SQL Server. And what is Membership?
