Im having a problem connecting to our AD using LDAP.
The problem is that i need to use SSL to make the connection but when i do that i wont work.
I use this to connect to the using LDAP
Dim root As DirectoryEntry = New DirectoryEntry("LDAPS://mydomain.com:636/", "USER", "Password")
root.AuthenticationType = AuthenticationTypes.SecureSocketsLayer With that line i get Unknown error
if i use just LDAP and not LDAPS i get "Server is not operational"
If i change the port to 389 and use None for AuthenticationType it works fine.
But the business requires us to use an SSL connection.
Any idea why this is happening and how can i resolve this?
