I am using forms authentication and it is working. Now I want the cookie to expire after one day (8 hours). It does. But it never lets the user back in after the cookie expires. Even if the user goes to the login screen and logs in it keeps sending the user back to the login screen. If I set the timeout to a higher value so that the cookie is not expired then it works. What's wrong? Why doesn't the cookie expiration reset when the user logs in again? Here's the relevant code:
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(sUserID, true);
and in web.config:
<authentication mode="Forms">
<forms defaultUrl="Default.aspx" loginUrl="Login.aspx" timeout="480" slidingExpiration="false" />
</authentication>
<authorization>
<deny users="?" />
