Session Variables

I am just trying to give a session variable a value and it is tossing these two errors:

1. Invalid token '=' in class, struct, or interface member declaration
2. Array size cannot be specified in a variable declaration

 Session["strDocs"] = "Docs";
</script>


I have done this in VB.NET and not a problem. What is wrong with the code? This is a site with inline code model .
