How to add onclick attribte of anchor using jquery

i am using this code.this is working fine in mozilla(not working in IE)
$anchor.attr('onclick', 'anchorclick(\'' + test + '\',\'' + id + '\');');
if i use this code(this is not work in both browser)
 $anchor2.click(function() {
                var test21 = input.value;
                var id21 = input.id;
               anchorclick(test, id);
            });
please check it and tell me where is error.and how can i do that
