We have following configuration:
SQL server 2008 r2 Express installed on VPS Windows 2008 R2
Our database is 600MB and we have 4GB RAM And 60 GB free space
We started to receive the error after 1 year of normal works without any errors.
write failure on backup device 'C:\Windows\TEMP\MyDatabase201208270500.bak'. Operating system error 6(The handle is invalid.)
We contacted VPS Hosting provider and they checked the disk and we also checked the disk all is OK.
We do not have antivirus but we checked the VPS for viruses (to isolate the virus option).
We checked with DBCC CHECKDB all is OK
The interesting issue is that sometimes we can backup the database but sometime it started and come to 20% 50% and send the error .

08/27/2012 05:00:04,Backup,Unknown,BACKUP failed to complete the command ...
