I was asked to change the some background colors of a site that is divided into sections. I didn't think this would be a big deal, until I got a hold of the code...The original developers used a masterpage, which is fine for a unified look, but now the client wants to make the different divisions easily identified to the user by using different colors. So what I have is a masterpage that uses different menus based upon a siteID, what I am wondering is if I can use the same approach to background colors, and how to go about it? I tried to create new masterpages however there is some "deploy.dll" that the previous developers wrote that I can't get the source to, and the new masterpages conflict with what is in that dll so that has not worked.
