Hi,
I have a website (application A) that is basically a bunch of web services, that get called by other websites (B and C).
A, B and C share the same database, including aspnet* tables etc. So in the database i have all these users, for all these applications, each record specifying to which application they belong to.
When B or C call a web service in A, I send the user name, password and application for each of these apps, for the service to figure out whether that user is valid for that application.
However the Membership.ValidateUser(string username, string password) only accepts user and pwd, assuming the app is the one set in web.config. How can I tell it to consider the application id
as well?
If I have to write my own ValidateUser(), anybody knows what exactly Membership.ValidateUser(string username, string password) does so I don't miss anything in my routine?
Many thanks
