I am creating my own custom Authentication System based on FormsAuthentication but not using Membership, Provile and Role providers.
I need to be able to save information, like Culture and Theme, on the user even when they are not LoggedIn or Registered.
My idea is:
1. When a user loads the page I get its AnonymousId from a cookie and get the Culture and Theme from the Users table using AnonymousId and not UserId.
Can I use an int as id or should I use Guid?
2. The moment the user logins I start getting the user from Users table with my MembershipService that uses FormsAuthentication instead using AnonymousId.
Does this make sense?
Should I implement something else?
