I need to pull an XML document that is being created in the fly from behind a website protect using Siteminder.
The sites are all internal and are not at risk from outside attacks, so for this I can pass the username and password via the HTTP header.
Well I would if I could figure it out. I have scoured the web and although I have found some solutions they don't seem to work the page returns a 401 every time.
It has been suggested that I can also use cookies to do this, but as I can't find the structure of the cookie, I can't create that either.
I beleive the correct method is to request the document, handle the responce and sent via a get the http header wiht the login credentials.
Can anyone help shed some light on this? I prefer VB but as long as the code is not too complex I can manage to translate ok.
