I am a front end guy and I seem to be unable to get my companies .NET developers to give me what I am looking for and am trying to understand where the break in communication is taking place, it could be entirely my fault resulting in my limited knowledge of .NET and "Web forms".
The site currently being worked on queries our databases for user profile information etc, nothing fancy. What the developers are returning to me are table based layouts sometimes 5 and 6 layers deep with inline styling and riddled with obtrusive javascript. I have continuously asked that all html be returned "raw" for lack of a better term on my part. I dont want any styling done whatsoever and would prefer that all javascript actions be added after the fact via jQuery.
My goal is simple, separation of design and functionality so that, in the future, when it comes time to change style and or UX, it does not require touching the code behind one bit.
