This is going to be a pretty large problem, so take your time =)
I have a site where a user can create a profile and select materials and techniques from a dropdownlist. This dropdownlist is generated with data from a database, and admins can manage this list (add, remove, rename etc.)
Now, I want to have an option to view my site in another language. But how should I solve the list of materials and techniques? Can do this with localization? Or, when an admin is editing the materials, does he also need to enter the material in all the other languages I support? Do I store the translations in the resource file or the database?
This problem doesn't seem to be that unusual. Is there an existing solution or a common way to solve this?
