Count the number of checkboxes in a table

Hi all,
I have a 3-column table with a list of 25 questions in the first column.
The second column is filled with 25 checkboxes under a 'Yes' heading and the third column is filled with another 25 checkboxes under a 'No' heading.

The form emails fine when the submit button is clicked but I want to show the number of checked checkboxes under the 'No' column on the actual form itself. The 'Yes' checkboxes are being ignored anyway. So, how do I display a running total of all the ticks in the 'No' column?

And, while I'm here ;)
Is there a way for the 'class System.String' to show 'No' or a blank instead of 'True' or 'False'?
