I have a few different subsites and also a "main" website.  The "main" site allows users to login and, after logging in successfully, navigating to the other sites.
To disallow a user to just be able to type paste in the direct URL to one of the subsites and bypass the login, I'm trying to use a session variable which I create after a successful login.  New to logins, I've initially set it up so that each Page_Load on each subsite checks the session variable.  I think I've found, though, that the session variable isn't passed back and forth (in the browser I guess) when navigating to a subsite from the "main" site.
How can I accomplish what I'm trying to do:  disallow a user to just be able to type paste in the direct URL to one of the subsites and bypass the login?
Thanks in advance.
