I want to do some clever stuff in Javascript based on values associated with an asp:DropDownList . In the "old world", I would have buried some concatenated string values into the Tag attribute of each item in the list. I would then have unpicked them later on within the Javascript.
First problem, as already discussed elsewhere on here, there is no tag value in the asp:DropDownList.
My DropDownList is DataBound to an ObjectDataSource. So, each item in the data source contains a display value, a data value, and the other values which I need to access in order to allow Javascript to control what happens on the form when differing dropdown values are requested.
So, the question is - what is the best/easiest way to get all of the attributes from each item in an ObjectDataSource available to Javscript when the selected item in DropDownList which is data bound to that data source changes.
Thanks for any t ...
