I have found bits and pieces of doing this online but can't seem to get anything to work; so I figured I would just throw it out here on what I have and what I want to occur. For my situation, I have the following drop down list control: <asp:DropDownList ID="ThreadIdentityDropDown" Runat="server" OnSelectedIndexChanged=""></asp:DropDownList>
To keep it simple, I have the following Javascript function declared at the top of the aspx page:
function ToggleThreadIdentity

alert("Hello World");
