I have two standalone computers, C1 and C2. Both use Windows XP SP3. Both run sql server r2 express. I have recently installed sql server on C1 and I have tried to copy database Financial from C2 to C1, but the database I get on C1 is a complete
mess.
I used RESTORE DATABASE on a backup file from the source to create the target on C1.
But the target is different from the source. For example, the target tables are not the same as the source tables. Some target tables are from different databases on C2 that were deleted a long time ago. And target tables with the same name
as source tables have different column names, and the target data matches the source data only partly.
