Hello there,
I am using a DataTable to bind values to an asp.net DropDownList. I get the values for the DataTable rows from a SQL server database. I would like to create a "fake" hierarchy for the values in the dropDownList, so I have added a few empty characters in the beginning of the each string - to try and create levels in the values.
But it seems that the dropDownList deletes those empty characters from all display items. I have debugged the control I am creating and the values are loaded properly in the data table - including the empty characters. I guess trimming the string for display value is a "feature" and not a bug in the dropdownlist but still....does anyone know if and how I can manage it?
Any ideas will be appreciated!
Thanks!
