how to change order of dropdown list?

I have a dropdownlist which contain two Items.
say    value=100 text=processing
         value = 200 text=printing
I want to display first item in dropdownlist depending on value from data base
say when i get 100 it will show first item as processing
say when i get 200 it will show second item as printing
