To fetch records from the Linked SQL Table to MSAccess application

Hi all,
I have a MSAccess front end application and a SQL Server database. I have linked the SQL tables to MSAccess application.
My requirement is that I have to compare records from one table to records in another table and update/insert depending on the same. I have declared as DAO object for the connection and the recordset.
For this, I tried to use the seek method. But it is showing the : "error 3251: Operation is not supported for this type of object."
Hence I tried the following code:
