I'm trying to upgrade from SQL 2005 Express to 2008 R2 Express to make use of the default db size increase to 10gb - this is for Sharepoint
and is the only instance on the machine (the db is local)
I've run the upgrade, but at no point do I get the option to select and upgrade the instance. When I query the db through SMSS it still says it is 2005 Express SP3. Have I missed something here?
It seems that it should be fairly straight forward but now I'm just banging my head against a brick wall.
