I'm using the tilde (~) character on my ASP.NET page to reference the relative path for an image from the root application path. For example:
<img style="margin-top:12px; margin-left:7px;" src="~/img/wiki_logo.png" runat="server" border="0"/>
When I run this it looks fine, but it Design or Split view (I'm using VS2008 Professional), the image does not show, only the white box with red cross in it.
This is quite annoying, as it renders the Design/Split view pretty useless.
Is this the expected behaviour? Is there a workaround?
