A client of mine requires IIS 6.0 redirection from a site that has an expired SSL certificate (site1.domain.com) to another with a valid SSL certificate (site2.domain.com). He is constrained from updating the certificate on site1.domain.com since his desktop software is tied with the certificate on this site, and would otherwise need to update the software on all his clients' installations.
Is it possible to have an IIS 6.0 redirection avoiding the browser complaining that the site's certificate is expired? This somehow would need to send the redirect command before the certificate is sent. I have been told it is possible to do on an Apache server. Some help on this would be very much appreciated.
