I am trying to decrypt an AES encrypted file using .NET
As far as I can tell I need to use the managed Rijndael class.
The class requires the key as a byte as well as the IV as a byte.
However, my client only provided me with a regular password to decrypt the file.
I am new to Cryptography so please bear with me on this.
During my research I found this tool: http://www.mysoco.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1
It encypts a string using a simple password and decrypts it as well with the same password.
.NET 2.0 is needed to run this tool and they claim they are using Rijndael for encryption.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
