I have just downloaded Visual Web Developer Express and want to follow some examples from an older ASP.NET book I have, but their syntax does not seem to match.
Can somebody please help me with the following just to get started (or point me to a tutorial).
I want to create a master that has a header with a few buttons. The buttons will run a query and show the results below in a page (so I'll need to unload a page and show the new page). The data is coming from a SQL Server Express DB that I have already created.
I want to view within Visual Web Dev only so that I do not have to install IIS.
