hi,
i'm working on a 1.1. app that allows a user to store user credentials in an xml file.  the password is the only value that needs to be encrypted before being written to the file.  i understand how to encrypt and decrypt the value (using Rijndael in this case), but i'm not exactly comfortable storing the key and iv in code.
right now, i've basically got two fixed byte arrays; one for the key and one for the iv. and again, these are both stored in local vars within a function.

i'm guessing there are proper ways to do this?  the app isn't exactly a high profile target for hacking, but nevertheless, i'd like it to be somewhat secure.
many thanks in advance,
- b
