 I have made a customer account sign up form using a custom form for using SqlMembership and I am using Membership.CreateUser
I have under CreateStatus.Success 3 methods that do different things
1. places the user in a role
2. enters address, name, etc using a stored procedure
3. Emails me and the new user that an account has been created.
#2 in line I use the Membership. ProviderKey to get the UserId to place into the new customer_information table in my db; however, I did this assuming that creating a user automatically logs you in. a) is this true? b) if not how can I retrieve the newly created UserId from aspnet_Users to place into my new table
protected void CreateUserButton_Click(object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e) { newUser = Membership.CreateUser(UserName.Text, Password.Text, UserName.Text, Question.Text, Answer.Text, true, out createStatus); switch (createStatus) ...
