I am trying to set up a Managed Backup from Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Standard to Azure Blob storage. After some guessing, I got what appear to be the correct settings in the Azure Credentials. Now I still cannot enter the schedule and get Microsoft SQL
Server error 14262 that the SQL Server Agent is not running and the @job_id-object (NULL) is not there. To me it looks like the SQL Server Agent is indeed not running. I would post a screenshot, but somehow nobody has approved my account for posting pictures
or links yet.
Since I am not very experienced with SQL Server, I don't know what I need to do to get this to work. Can somebody please help me?
Further, I would also like to know what I need to do to enable the backup encryption. I cannot figure out what kind of certificate is expected in the settings to enable 256 Bit AES settings. Can somebody please provide a how to?
