My company has installed a version of SQL Server on its server (I think it's the Standard version), but is installing SQL Server Express on the laptops. I'm not sure the reason why.
I have two questions:
1. Is SSMS (Express) licensed to access data on a SQL Server (Standard) server?
2. Is SSRS (Express - Advanced Tools) licensed to create reports based on a SQL Server (Standard) server?
