specified cast is not valid

Hi

first can i do like this

<ItemTemplate>
<asp:Label runat="server" ID="lblAdvisor" BackColor='<%# Eval("COL")%>' Text='<%# Eval("C_STATUS")%>'></asp:Label>

</asp:TemplateField>
because i need to get back color attribute depending on my c_status
if the above code is right am getting error at  BackColor---

Specified cast is not valid.
